Tamatta'a yatamatta'u - to enjoy

Allah swt says: wa matti'u qaleelan thumma adhtharruhum alaa adhabin-naar.

Question

Just thinking about the verb 'adda and the ismul maf'ul, ma'dood in the ayah 'ayaamin ma'doodaat'...the ismul maf'ul is siffah here right...? so if days are inanimate, why is it not ayyaamin ma'doodah...? there must be something obvious i am missing here. please enlighten me. jzk.

Ya Allah, through Your mercy these blessed days and nights are upon us, please grant us tawfeeq to study the blessed language of Your book; place barakah in our studies and in the respect for our elders, and make this a means of progression for Your sake alone. Ameen.

Just as we may wake up tomorrow, rub our eyes, and think about the day that is ahead of us...one day Allah swt will wake us up and in that same state we will have to think about how we will answer Him.

To watch very closely. It has a two way connotation.

Nine

After a week of ignorance, better to get up and try again than give up. May Allah swt grant us tawfeeq, even if it is just one word a day, to open the gateway of beneficial ilm to us.

Ok so the posting at fajr is not working, i'm thinking that, like me, no one really switches their computers on at that time. But perhaps we should try to post before the end of the day! I know its late, but I'll post a word anyway:

'kadda' - effort.

Man, try typing arabic with no arabic stickers on the keyboard...Two letter word is enough!

تجنّب
'tajannaba' - to shun or avoid.

جَنَّ

جَنَّ is a root word for many other words. Its different forms are in verbs and nouns. It means something hidden. So جنة

is a hidden reward of the Hereafter. جِن are creatures hidden from our eyes, جنون is the hiding or covering of the senses or aql

and جِنِىن is the foetus in the womb, also hidden from the eyes. Cool no?
